Our Melbourne workroom is where your curtains are made, with careful attention to construction, headings, lining and finish.
Building on the workroom established by Brigitte Smythe, The Main Room brings experienced curtain making together with a practical understanding of each project. You have a direct connection to the team doing the making, so details can be discussed and worked through together.
From Making to Installation
Our experience extends from the sewing table to the installation.
We understand how fabric, curtain construction, tracks and fixing details work together.
That knowledge helps us consider the practical requirements early, from curtain weight and stack space to clearances and motorisation, and carry those decisions through to the final fitting.
How We Work With You
We make bespoke sheer and lined curtains in-house, alongside supplying blinds, curtain tracks and motorised systems.
Our team coordinates measuring, specification, quoting, manufacture through to installation. We work with interior designers and builders as part of their project delivery team, bringing visions from plan to reality.
